Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting for an experienced Duty and Assessment Senior Practitioner Social Worker to join a busy Children's Services team in Worcestershire. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Social Worker looking to progress their career within a fast-paced Duty and Assessment Team, where you'll play a vital role in safeguarding children and supporting families across the county.
Offering a competitive rate of £33.30 per hour, this locum Social Worker position is ideal for professionals with strong assessment skills, safeguarding experience, and a passion for achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a complex caseload within the Duty and Assessment Team, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
- Complete high-quality child and family assessments, including Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries.
- Undertake safeguarding investigations and make informed decisions regarding levels of risk.
- Develop and implement child-focused plans to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and practice support to social workers within the team.
- Work collaboratively with schools, health professionals, police, and partner agencies to deliver effective multi-agency safeguarding.
- Prepare detailed assessments, reports, and court documentation where required.
- Ensure all case recording is accurate, up to date, and compliant with statutory guidance and legislation.
- Promote best practice and contribute to continuous service improvement within Children's Social Care.
Applicant Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Significant post-qualified experience within Children's Social Care.
- Previous experience working in a Duty and Assessment Team, MASH, Safeguarding, Child Protection, or Children in Need service.
- Strong knowledge of UK safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance.
- Excellent assessment, decision-making, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to manage complex cases in a fast-paced environment.

- £33.30 per hour
