What you will do:

Assessment & Intervention:

• Conduct comprehensive Child and Family Assessments in line with statutory guidance.

• Manage cases under Section 17 (Children in Need) and Section 47 (Child Protection) of the Children Act 1989.

• Design, implement, and review care and protection plans.

• Engage directly with children and families to promote safety and wellbeing.

Safeguarding & Child Protection:

• Respond promptly and proportionately to safeguarding concerns.

• Participate in strategy discussions and child protection conferences.

• Manage complex risks and escalate safeguarding concerns appropriately.

• Apply statutory thresholds confidently and consistently.

Court & Legal Work:

• Contribute to Public Law Outline (PLO) processes.

• Prepare high-quality court reports and attend hearings.
