What you will do:

  • Engage with children and young people in care, focusing on fostering positive relationships to ensure their safety and stability.
  • Deliver high-quality assessments to achieve consistent and improved outcomes for the children and young people you support.
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-agency and court environment to support families effectively.
  • Demonstrate professional social work practice while maintaining a fast pace in a high-pressure setting.
  • Utilise your expertise in legislation, models, and theories relevant to children's social care.


Your skills and experience will include:

  • A recognised social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
  • Successful completion of your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
  • Proven experience in social care, including engaging in a multi-agency and court context.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey information clearly and effectively.
  • Competent in assessment, recording, and SMART planning strategies.
  • A valid UK driving licence and access to a car are essential.


Social Workers must be adaptable and ready to cover their allocations, visiting children as necessary to meet service requirements. Hybrid working options are available and will be discussed during the interview process.
