What you will do
- Statutory Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments under the Children Act 1989 to ensure children and young people receive the necessary support.
- Case Management: Manage a diverse caseload focused on children with disabilities to safeguard and promote their welfare.
- Care Planning: Develop personalised care plans and short break arrangements tailored to each child's needs.
- Partnership Working: Collaborate with families, schools, and healthcare professionals to deliver cohesive and effective support.
- Safeguarding Work: Engage in Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Looked After Children (LAC) work when required.
- Court Responsibilities: Prepare detailed reports for court proceedings and attend hearings as necessary.
- Multi-Agency Meetings: Participate in multi-agency meetings to ensure clear communication and shared goals.
- Recording: Maintain accurate records in line with council policies and statutory requirements.
