In this crucial role, you will support children and young people who are looked after by the local authority, ensuring their safety, stability, and overall wellbeing.
You will play a key role in care planning, promoting permanency, and achieving positive long-term outcomes through high-quality statutory social work practice. The role offers full-time or part-time options, with core working hours of 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Flexibility around start and finish times is available, providing an excellent work-life balance.
What you will do:

Manage a caseload of Children in Care, ensuring each child receives consistent, high-quality support.

Undertake statutory visits, assessments, and reviews to safeguard and promote children's welfare.

Develop, implement, and regularly review care plans and permanence plans to secure the best possible outcomes.

Ensure children's views, wishes, and feelings are actively listened to and inform all decision-making.

Work collaboratively with foster carers, residential providers, families, and partner agencies.

Participate in multi-agency meetings, reviews, and planning forums.

Maintain accurate, timely, and legally compliant case records and reports.

Contribute to professional development through supervision, training, and reflective practice.
