In this crucial role, you will support children and young people who are looked after by the local authority, ensuring their safety, stability, and overall wellbeing.

You will play a key role in care planning, promoting permanency, and achieving positive long-term outcomes through high-quality statutory social work practice. The role offers full-time or part-time options, with core working hours of 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Flexibility around start and finish times is available, providing an excellent work-life balance.

What you will do:

• Manage a caseload of Children in Care, ensuring each child receives consistent, high-quality support.

• Undertake statutory visits, assessments, and reviews to safeguard and promote children's welfare.

• Develop, implement, and regularly review care plans and permanence plans to secure the best possible outcomes.

• Ensure children's views, wishes, and feelings are actively listened to and inform all decision-making.

• Work collaboratively with foster carers, residential providers, families, and partner agencies.

• Participate in multi-agency meetings, reviews, and planning forums.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and legally compliant case records and reports.

• Contribute to professional development through supervision, training, and reflective practice.
