Social Worker - Children and Families Team in Stroud, UK earning £42 per hour. We have an engaging locum opportunity for three months for an experienced full-time Social Worker to join our Children and Families Team in Stroud. In this vital role, you will manage a caseload of children and deliver timely and effective evidence-based interventions, accommodating the varied needs of children in need (CIN), child protection (CP), children in care (CIC), and dealing with some court-related work. With a caseload of approximately 18, you will have the chance to make a significant impact on families within the community. We understand the importance of work-life balance and offer the flexibility to work from home for certain tasks, as well as flexible working arrangements to suit both team and family needs. Expect to spend three days a week in our vibrant office, equipped with a laptop and smartphone to facilitate your efficiency.

What you will do:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of approximately 18 children requiring different levels of support including those in need, under child protection plans, or in care.
  • Conduct face-to-face visits with all children, ensuring thorough assessments and regular updates on their progress.
  • Liaise with families, caregivers, and external agencies to coordinate and deliver targeted support and intervention.
  • Prepare detailed reports and case notes for submissions to courts and involvement in legal proceedings as required.
  • Work as part of a dynamic team and contribute towards developing innovative strategies for the betterment of our children and families' services.

Salary range
