What you will do
- Undertake thorough child and family assessments in compliance with statutory guidelines and standards.
- Efficiently manage a caseload of children requiring diverse safeguarding interventions, including Child Protection Plans and Children in Need Plans.
- Identify and assess a wide range of risks, including neglect, abuse, and domestic violence.
- Develop, implement, and review targeted child protection and care plans with a focus on child safety.
- Centre each decision-making process around the child's voice, wishes, and feelings.
- Conduct statutory visits and direct work with families within specified timeframes.
- Prepare detailed reports for professional meetings, court proceedings, and reviews.
- Collaborate effectively with multi-agency partners such as schools, health professionals, and the police.
- Act promptly to safeguarding concerns, ensuring immediate action to protect children at risk.
- Maintain comprehensive case records to the highest standard in accordance with council policies.
- Foster positive relationships with children, young people, and their families while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Support legal processes through the preparation of detailed statements and effective court representation.
