What you will do

• Manage a caseload of Child Protection, Child in Need, and Public Law Outline cases in adherence with statutory requirements.
• Conduct Child and Family Assessments, Section 47 enquiries, risk assessments, and implement safety planning to safeguard children and young people.
• Develop, execute, and review child protection plans and care plans, ensuring that interventions are outcome-focused and evidence-based.
• Forge strong relationships with children, families, carers, and broader support networks to foster sustainable change.

Person Specification

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
• Successful completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) where applicable.
• Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Registration & Compliance

• Current registration with Social Work England (SWE).

Experience

• Post-qualification experience within Children's Social Care.
• Experience managing Child Protection and Child in Need caseloads within a Local Authority setting.
