What you will do

  • Manage a caseload of children subject to child protection plans and care proceedings, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.

  • Undertake assessments under the Children Act 1989, identifying risk, need, and protective factors.

  • Develop, implement, and review child-centred plans to reduce risk and promote positive outcomes.

  • Prepare clear, analytical reports for court, case conferences, and statutory meetings.

  • Work directly with children and families, building meaningful relationships and advocating for children's needs.

  • Collaborate effectively with partner agencies including health, education, police, and legal services.

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case records in line with Devon County Council standards.

Salary range

  • £38 per hour
