Key Responsibilities
As a Social Worker in the Assessment Team, you will:

Undertake timely and high-quality assessments to identify risks, needs, and strengths of children and families.

Complete assessments in line with statutory frameworks, including the Children Act 1989.

Develop clear, child-focused intervention plans that promote safety and positive outcomes.

Engage directly with children and families to understand lived experiences and inform decision-making.

Work collaboratively with partner agencies including education, health, police, and mental health services.

Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and defensible case records in line with statutory and local authority requirements.

Participate in team meetings, strategy discussions, and multi-agency forums.

Contribute to service development, quality assurance activity, and continuous improvement initiatives.
