You will play a crucial role in safeguarding children, undertaking statutory assessments, and delivering timely interventions that promote safety, stability, and positive outcomes.

What you will do

  • Conduct Child and Family Assessments in line with statutory requirements and local procedures.
  • Manage cases across Child in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP) pathways.
  • Undertake Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries as required.
  • Develop, implement, and review CIN and CP plans to ensure robust safeguarding.
  • Complete risk assessments and design intervention plans that support child welfare and family resilience.
  • Work closely with professionals from education, health, police, and partner agencies.
  • Prepare detailed reports for conferences, reviews, and court where necessary.
  • Contribute to strategy meetings, core groups, and multi‑agency planning forums.
  • Maintain accurate, timely case records in accordance with statutory and organisational standards.
  • Apply strengths‑based, child‑centred practice and ensure children's voices inform all planning and decisions.
