What you will do:

  • Conduct assessments of children and families to identify needs and determine appropriate interventions.

  • Develop and implement effective care plans focused on child protection and wellbeing.

  • Work collaboratively with a range of professionals including education staff, healthcare professionals, and law enforcement to ensure coordinated support for children.

  • Provide expert contributions at case conferences and produce high-quality assessments and reports.

  • Manage complex caseloads, mentor newly qualified social workers, and support junior staff development.

  • Promote capacity-building initiatives with individuals, families, and communities.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed case records to support effective intervention and safeguarding strategies.

Please note that candidates must be car drivers and able to attend the office five days during duty week (every five weeks) and three days per week when not on duty. A minimum of three years' post-qualifying experience in a permanent setting is also required.
