Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Social Worker to join the Adults Social Care Team in Wolverhampton. This is a 3-month locum position offering full-time hours and a competitive hourly rate of £31.97. The role is ideally suited to a skilled and confident practitioner with experience in No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) cases and a strong background in adult social care.

You will be working in a hybrid/agile environment, supporting vulnerable adults across the city. Local candidates are preferred due to the community-based nature of the role. An immediate start is available.

What You Will Do

  • Assess and support adults in the community who have No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF).

  • Work with adults facing complex challenges including mental health needs, substance misuse, and homelessness.

  • Complete strengths-based assessments and develop personalised care and support plans.

  • Manage a complex caseload and deliver timely, outcome-focused interventions.

  • Undertake safeguarding enquiries and crisis interventions when required.

  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies and internal teams to deliver coordinated support.

  • Maintain accurate, high-quality case records using digital case management
