What you will do:

Lead and manage a team of social workers handling Child in Need (Section 17) and Child Protection (Section 47) cases.

Provide management oversight and quality assurance of assessments, care planning, and interventions.

Ensure timely and effective safeguarding decision-making, managing risk and prioritising cases appropriately.

Deliver supervision, performance management, and professional development to staff.

Chair and contribute to strategy discussions, child protection conferences, and multi-agency meetings.
Qualifications / Requirements:

Qualifications: Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent) and evidence of continued professional development. A management or leadership qualification is desirable.

Registration and compliance: Must be registered with Social Work England. Strong knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and 2004, and Working Together to Safeguard Children is required.

DBS requirement: Enhanced DBS clearance is essential.
