Social Work Team Manager Duty and Assessment in Colindale UK earning £45.20 per hour on an hourly basis. Ongoing contract available for full-time and part-time candidates.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join the London Borough of Barnet as a Team Manager within the Duty and Assessment Team. Located at 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW, you'll have the chance to make a significant impact in the community while benefiting from the flexibility of locum work. Core hours are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, but flexible arrangements are available for early birds and those who prefer long weekends.

What you will do:

• Lead and manage the Duty and Assessment Team, ensuring effective and timely responses to service users' needs.
• Ensure high-quality assessments and interventions are delivered consistently within the team.
• Oversee and support your team during duty weeks, maintaining a strong presence when in office.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to team members, fostering a positive and productive work culture.
• Collaborate closely with other teams and services to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting children and their families.

Job Requirements:

• Candidates are expected to be in the office approximately twice a week, with full presence required every fourth week during duty week.
• A minimum of three years' experience at Team Manager level, particularly in an assessment setting, is essential.
• Hold a degree or equivalent qualification in social work, with current Social Work England registration.
• Significant frontline experience in Children's Services working as a Team Manager or similar roles such as DTM or ATM.
