About the role:
The Team Leader will take charge of operational management and provide leadership support across service geographical areas. You will ensure the highest levels of quality interventions, astute case management, and sound decision-making are exercised in the best interests of children, young people, and families. Your role is pivotal in representing AfC at various strategic multi-agency meetings. The role is structured to lead the professional development of your team and optimize productivity and performance.

What you will do:
- Manage and lead a team of Senior Practitioners and Social Workers, ensuring effective practice and performance.
- Implement AfC’s social work practice model, Signs of Safety, ensuring adherence to agreed quality standards.
- Provide case management oversight, ensuring thorough care planning for children.
- Attend and represent AfC in multi-agency operational and strategic meetings.
- Drive a culture of partnership, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Lead professional development initiatives, enhancing outcomes for children and workforce growth.

Requirements of the Team Leader:
- Degree level education with a relevant professional qualification in social work.
- Postgraduate qualification in fields like social work, leadership, and management.
- Active registration with Social Work England.
- Significant experience in social work practice and safeguarding, including court appearances.
- Experience managing social workers dealing with complex cases.
- Proven ability to enhance team performance and professional growth.
