What you will do:

  • Lead and mentor less experienced social workers and social care coordinators, fostering their growth and decision-making skills.
  • Supervise junior staff as identified by the Team Manager, ensuring high standards and resolving poor practice.
  • Deputy for the Assistant Team Manager and Team Manager as needed, taking on leadership roles and Safeguarding Enquiries.
  • Facilitate planning and review meetings, contributing to resource and budget management.
  • Engage with adults using services, taking into account their needs, wishes, and feelings to formulate effective support plans.
  • Maintain and review social work interventions and plans, promoting independence through Direct Payments and Personal Budgets.
  • Develop community resources and maintain awareness of local groups and networks that enhance service outcomes.
  • Apply a deep understanding of the legislative framework affecting Adult Social Care, communicating these issues to other professionals and agencies.
