What you will do:

  • Case Management: Manage a complex and varied caseload involving children and families where there are significant safeguarding concerns.

  • Assessments: Undertake comprehensive assessments in accordance with statutory guidance, local procedures, and best practice standards.

  • Care Planning: Develop, implement, and regularly review Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children plans.

  • Safeguarding Investigations: Lead safeguarding enquiries and investigations under Section 47 of the Children Act 1989.

  • Court Work: Prepare high-quality assessments, reports, statements, and care plans for court proceedings and legal processes.

  • Record Keeping: Ensure all case recordings are accurate, timely, and compliant with statutory and organisational requirements.

  • Mentoring and Support: Provide guidance, coaching, and support to newly qualified and less experienced
