What you will do

  • Assessment: Complete Core Assessments, pre-birth assessments, and risk assessments to a high professional standard.
  • Child Protection: Lead Section 47 investigations and safeguarding enquiries to protect children from harm.
  • Court Work: Prepare statements and reports for court proceedings, including Section 7 and Section 37 reports.
  • Court Representation: Represent the local authority confidently and professionally in court.
  • Direct Work: Conduct home visits and direct interventions with children and families.
  • Case Recording: Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive case records.
  • Meeting Leadership: Convene, chair, and lead core group meetings and professional discussions.
  • Multi-Agency Working: Build effective relationships with partner agencies to deliver coordinated support.
  • Joint Investigations: Work alongside police and other agencies on joint investigations and interviews.
  • Care Proceedings: Initiate and manage care proceedings through to conclusion.
  • Care Planning: Develop, implement, and review effective Care Plans and Child in Need plans.
  • Family Support: Oversee supervised family contact
