What you will do:

  • Respond promptly to safeguarding concerns and undertake safeguarding enquiries in line with statutory guidance and local procedures.
  • Complete comprehensive assessments of need and risk, ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and best interests of children and vulnerable adults remain central to all decision-making.
  • Develop, implement, and review safeguarding plans in collaboration with service users, families, carers, and partner agencies.
  • Provide expert advice, guidance, and support to colleagues, particularly in the management of complex safeguarding cases.
  • Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, representing the local authority and advocating effectively for service users.
  • Deliver safeguarding training and workshops to colleagues and partner organisations, promoting best practice and continuous improvement.
