Hounslow's Safeguarding Team is excited to welcome a Senior Social Worker to join its ranks on an ongoing basis. This rewarding role is situated at Hounslow House, 7 Bath Road (TW3 3EB), and comes with an attractive hourly rate of £39.04. The standard working hours are 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, with flexible options available such as an 8 am to 6 pm schedule for four days a week or part-time arrangements.

What you will do:
- Conduct comprehensive core assessments, pre-birth assessments, and risk assessments to identify and manage safeguarding concerns
- Engage in Section 47 child protection investigations to ensure children's safety
- Prepare detailed statements for court proceedings as required
- Complete Section 7 and 37 reports to inform court decisions
- Represent the authority in court, providing evidence and supporting cases
- Perform home visits to monitor the environment and safeguard children
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records
- Organise and chair core group meetings to discuss and plan interventions
- Collaborate with other professionals to deliver comprehensive support
- Conduct joint investigations and interviews with police agencies
- Initiate and manage care proceedings to ensure child welfare
- Implement and review detailed care plans for children
- Oversee family contact visits ensuring the child's well-being
- Craft detailed reports for case conferences
- Attend and contribute to case conferences and strategic meetings
- Develop and monitor Child in Need plans
