What You Will Do:

  • Manage a complex caseload involving adults at risk, including individuals experiencing abuse, neglect, or exploitation.

  • Lead Section 42 enquiries, carrying out detailed risk assessments and implementing robust safety plans.

  • Mentor and support less experienced social workers, promoting reflective practice and high-quality decision-making.

  • Build effective partnerships with external agencies such as police, health services, and housing providers to ensure holistic safeguarding.

  • Maintain accurate, detailed records and produce high-standard reports for meetings, strategy discussions, and court proceedings.

  • Contribute to team meetings and service development initiatives, helping to enhance safeguarding frameworks and practices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 18 months' experience as a Designated Safeguarding Officer or Safeguarding Adults Manager.

  • Valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Salary range

  • £40 per hour
