An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Social Worker Practitioner to join the Non Case Holding Assessments Team in Durham. This ongoing, full-time locum role is ideal for experienced, qualified social workers who are keen to take on a specialist non-case holding position focused on high-quality assessments and court-related work. You will play a vital role in supporting the Public Law Outline (PLO) process and Court requirements within a fast-paced and demanding environment.

What you will do

• Complete high-quality, standalone assessments for Public Law Outline (PLO) and Court proceedings

• Provide essential support to Team Managers by ensuring court work is completed within set timescales and to a consistently high standard

• Work collaboratively with partner agencies and professionals to inform decision-making and promote positive outcomes

• Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive records in line with statutory requirements

• Keep up to date with relevant legislation, guidance, and best practice in children's social work
