What You Will Do:

Manage a varied caseload of looked after children, ensuring care plans are proactively implemented and regularly reviewed.

Build trusting, supportive relationships with children, young people, and carers to promote positive outcomes.

Conduct thorough assessments, care planning, and statutory visits in accordance with legal and policy frameworks.

Prepare and present comprehensive reports for Looked After Reviews and court proceedings.

Lead on permanency planning, including adoption, special guardianship, and reunification cases.

Provide advice, guidance, and emotional support to foster carers and residential staff.

Chair and coordinate multi-agency meetings to ensure joined-up care delivery.

Mentor and support newly qualified social workers and students, fostering professional growth within the team.

Contribute specialist knowledge in areas such as permanence, health, or participation.
