Bradford Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Locality Team. In this crucial role, you'll work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to manage complex cases, lead from the front, and help nurture the next generation of social workers. What You Will Do

• Manage complex caseloads, conducting thorough assessments to address the needs of children and adults.

• Assess and manage safeguarding risks, ensuring that vulnerable individuals are protected.

• Develop, implement, and monitor person-centred care plans that promote independence and positive outcomes.

• Lead and mentor junior social workers, offering guidance on best practice and professional standards.

• Provide leadership in case conferences, strategy meetings, and in advocating for the needs of clients.

• Collaborate with external professionals and agencies to deliver a unified and holistic service.

• Champion best practices and ensure adherence to legal frameworks, council policies, and ethical guidelines.

• Support the development and review of team policies and procedures.

• Ensure accurate record-keeping in compliance with council standards.

• Contribute to the quality assurance process, driving continuous improvement across services.

• Actively participate in safeguarding investigations and contribute to strategies that protect adults and children.
