We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Social Worker to join the Learning Disabilities & Autism Team within Adult Social Care in Telford & Wrekin. What you will do:

Manage a complex caseload of adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, including individuals with high levels of need and risk.

Undertake statutory assessments, care planning, reviews, and safeguarding enquiries.

Apply a strengths-based, person-centred approach that promotes choice, control, and independence.

Lead on complex casework involving risk management, mental capacity assessments, and best-interest decision-making.

Complete Mental Capacity Act assessments and participate in best-interest and Court of Protection processes.

Provide professional supervision, mentoring, and practice guidance to social workers and practitioners.

Support newly qualified social workers and contribute to practice development within the team.

Work collaboratively with health professionals, families, carers, and partner agencies.
