We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Social Worker to join the Learning Disabilities & Autism Team within Adult Social Care in Telford & Wrekin. What you will do:

• Manage a complex caseload of adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, including individuals with high levels of need and risk.

• Undertake statutory assessments, care planning, reviews, and safeguarding enquiries.

• Apply a strengths-based, person-centred approach that promotes choice, control, and independence.

• Lead on complex casework involving risk management, mental capacity assessments, and best-interest decision-making.

• Complete Mental Capacity Act assessments and participate in best-interest and Court of Protection processes.

• Provide professional supervision, mentoring, and practice guidance to social workers and practitioners.

• Support newly qualified social workers and contribute to practice development within the team.

• Work collaboratively with health professionals, families, carers, and partner agencies.

• Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings, safeguarding forums, and decision-making panels.
