This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Family Help Hub Team, playing a pivotal role at the front door of Children’s Services. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring children and families receive timely, proportionate, and effective responses.

What you will do

• Triage and screen incoming referrals and contacts relating to children and families.
• Undertake detailed risk assessments to determine appropriate thresholds and pathways, including Early Help, Child in Need (CIN), or Child Protection (CP).
• Make timely and informed safeguarding decisions in line with statutory guidance and local procedures.
• Work closely with multi‑agency partners, including police, health, and education professionals, to ensure coordinated responses.
• Provide professional advice and consultation to referrers and partner agencies.
• Support and mentor junior practitioners, including Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSWs).
• Contribute to audits, quality assurance, and service development initiatives.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and high‑quality case recording within case management systems.
• Participate in duty rotas and respond promptly to urgent safeguarding concerns.
