What you will do:

Manage a varied and demanding caseload, handling referrals, safeguarding concerns, and initial assessments.

Undertake comprehensive Child and Family Assessments within statutory timescales, ensuring effective risk management.

Lead complex cases, applying advanced professional judgement and detailed risk analysis.

Progress cases to Child Protection plans, Child in Need (CIN) plans, or care proceedings where necessary.

Provide practice guidance and mentoring to social workers and newly qualified staff within the team.

Participate in strategy discussions, child protection conferences, and legal planning meetings.
Person specification:
Qualifications:

Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.

Registration with Social Work England with full compliance.
Registration and compliance:

Enhanced DBS clearance required.

Must have the right to work in the UK.
