What You Will Do:

  • Provide leadership and professional guidance to colleagues, acting as a role model for best practices and reflective practice.
  • Work collaboratively with adults and carers to create and implement support plans that promote independence and allow individuals to be valued community members.
  • Lead safeguarding enquiries and make vital threshold decisions concerning safeguarding concerns.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, social work trainees, and students, helping them develop their skills and reach appropriate professional decisions.
  • Chair and facilitate planning and review meetings, working closely with the Assistant Team Manager/Team Manager to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Contribute to community resource development and identify local resources that enhance outcomes for service users.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation and policies affecting adult social care, ensuring that legal and ethical standards are met.
  • Participate actively in a busy duty system, making decisions to deputise for team leaders as necessary.
