What you will do:

Manage a caseload of Children in Care, including complex and challenging cases.

Develop and regularly review care plans and permanence plans to ensure stability and long-term wellbeing for children and young people.

Ensure children's voices, wishes, and feelings are central to planning and decision-making.

Promote placement stability, working closely with foster carers, residential services, and partner agencies.

Prepare high-quality reports for statutory reviews, court proceedings, and planning meetings.
Person specification:
Qualifications:

Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
Registration and compliance:
-
Registration with Social Work England.
-
Enhanced DBS clearance.
-
Must have the Right to Work in the UK.
Key skills:

Strong knowledge of Children in Care legislation and care planning frameworks.

Excellent safeguarding, assessment, and decision-making abilities.

Ability to manage complex cases and provide practice leadership.

Outstanding communication, analytical, and report-writing skills.

Ability to build effective relationships with children, carers, and partner agencies.

Strong organisational and case management capabilities.
Experience:

Significant post-qualification experience in Children's Social Care.

Experience working with Children in Care / Looked After Children (LAC).
