What you will do

• Manage a complex caseload of children and young people in care, ensuring high-quality statutory social work practice.
• Lead and contribute to care planning, permanency planning, and pathway planning for care leavers where required.
• Undertake court‑related work, preparing high‑quality reports and evidence for care proceedings and reviews.
• Complete statutory visits, reviews, and assessments in line with legislative requirements.
• Work directly with children, carers, and families to promote stability, safety, and positive long‑term outcomes.
• Liaise effectively with foster carers, residential providers, education, health, and other partner agencies.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant case records in line with Barnet Council policies and statutory guidance.
• Model best practice and contribute to quality assurance and service improvement activity within the CIC service.
