Senior Social Work Practitioner – Mental Health Team – Walsall

Join our team as a Senior Social Work Practitioner within the Mental Health Team in Walsall. This exciting locum opportunity offers a competitive rate of £32.67 per hour. This is a full-time position initially contracted for 3 months, with the potential to extend for up to 6 months. You will have an opportunity to apply your skills and expertise in a dynamic and supportive community. The role requires working on-site at the Civic Centre in Walsall every Tuesday and Thursday and having a valid driving licence is essential.

What you will do:

• Undertake line management duties including supervision, annual leave and sickness management, and performance duties
• Support with s117 aftercare and alternative duties in line with the MCA 2005, MHA 83/07, Equality Act 2010, and other relevant legislation
• Engage with individuals presenting complex mental health needs and needs of high emotional intensity
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive mental health services
• Ensure the Adults MOC form is completed and uploaded as part of essential documentation requirements
• Provide clear and timely communication to clients, families, and other professionals
