This is an extraordinary role for skilled social workers looking to take their career to the next level. We are seeking two Senior Social Workers to cover maternity leave for nine months within our Children in Care Service in Seaham, Durham. You will work with children aged 0 to 18, supporting their care plans and helping them transition into adulthood. With office visits required only 1-2 days a week for duties and team meetings, we offer flexibility around working from home. What you will do:

  • Support children in care aged 0 to 18, ensuring their needs are met and their voices heard.
  • Aid in the development and implementation of care plans and strategies to support children's transitions to adulthood.
  • Work collaboratively with families and other agencies to create rehabilitation plans when applicable.
  • Liaise with team members during office-based duties and participate in regular team meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory duties around Children in Care, maintaining the standards of an Ofsted rated OUTSTANDING authority.
