What you will do:
- Lead a caseload of children in care and care leavers, ensuring all practices adhere to safeguarding procedures.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of young people.
- Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior staff, helping foster a knowledgeable and dynamic team environment.
- Engage with families and carers, offering support and interventions aimed at achieving the best outcomes for children.
- Maintain comprehensive records and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulation.
- Participate in meetings and reviews, presenting cases coherently and confidently.
Requirements of the Senior Practitioner:
- Hold a degree or equivalent qualification in social work.
- Must have current registration with Social Work England.
- Demonstrable frontline experience within UK Social Services as a qualified Social Worker is essential.
