An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Practitioner to join the Case Management Team within Adult Services. This role offers the chance to provide leadership, supervision, and professional guidance to practitioners while ensuring high-quality, strengths-based practice across adult social care services. Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Practitioner within the Case Management Team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing leadership and operational oversight to ensure the delivery of high-quality adult social care services.

  • Supporting the achievement of strategic objectives through effective planning, task allocation, and performance monitoring.

  • Delivering reflective supervision, appraisal, and professional development support to staff.

  • Ensuring compliance with Safeguarding Adults legislation, policies, and local procedures.

  • Promoting and embedding strengths-based, person-centred, and self-directed support approaches.

  • Supervising designated staff, overseeing case allocation, workload management, and performance.

  • Managing resources effectively, including budget oversight, to maximise independence and positive outcomes for service users.

  • Maintaining and developing high professional practice standards aligned with departmental goals.

  • Working autonomously while collaborating closely with the Team Manager and Consultant Social Worker.

  • Supporting partnership working through a multidisciplinary approach, contributing to integrated health and care services.

  • Contributing to quality assurance activity, service improvement initiatives, and the development of performance frameworks.

Person Specification

We are seeking candidates with:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.

  • Substantial post-qualifying experience within adult social care.

  • Proven experience providing supervision and practice leadership.

  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding adults legislation and statutory guidance.

  • Experience working within strengths-based and person-centred practice models.
