What You Will Do

  • Manage a complex caseload of legal work, providing high-level advice to elected members, senior managers, and external clients.

  • Represent the Council in legal proceedings including the Magistrates' Court, County Court, Tribunals, and Inquiries, and instruct Counsel where appropriate for higher court matters.

  • Provide strategic legal advice on key projects and initiatives aligned with the Council's objectives and service improvements.
