What you will do:

  • Provide regular supervision, guidance, and professional support to foster carers, enabling them to meet the needs of children in placement.

  • Complete high-quality assessments of prospective foster carers and contribute to recruitment and approval processes.

  • Monitor foster placements to ensure safeguarding standards are met and placement stability is promoted.

  • Work collaboratively with children's social workers, health professionals, and education services to meet children's holistic needs.

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case records in line with Fostering Regulations and National Minimum Standards.

  • Engage in continuous professional development through training, reflective practice, and team learning.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a Degree in Social Work (BA / MA / DipSW).

  • Registration with Social Work England (SWE) is essential.

  • Experience within fostering, kinship, or children's social care is highly desirable.

Salary range

  • £35 per hour
