What you will do
- Fostering Assessments: Carry out comprehensive assessments, including Form F assessments, for prospective foster carers.
- Specialist Assessments: Undertake viability and connected persons (kinship) assessments where required.
- Suitability Evaluation: Assess the suitability of applicants in line with fostering regulations and national standards.
- Report Writing: Prepare detailed, high-quality assessment reports for fostering panels.
- Carer Support: Provide guidance and support to applicants throughout the fostering assessment process.
- Safeguarding: Conduct safeguarding and risk assessments to ensure the safety of fostering households.
- Multi‑Agency Collaboration: Work effectively with children's social workers, fostering teams, and external professionals.
- Case Recording: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with statutory and organisational standards.
- Equality & Inclusion: Promote diversity, equality, and inclusion throughout the fostering recruitment process.
- Compliance: Ensure all practice aligns with current legislation, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications / Requirements
Essential
- Qualified Social Worker with current registration
