What you will do

  • Case Management: Manage a varied caseload involving Children in Need, Child Protection, Looked After Children, and permanency planning.
  • Assessment: Complete assessments, care planning, statutory reviews, and reports within required timescales.
  • Safeguarding: Undertake child protection investigations and contribute to safeguarding processes in accordance with legislation and guidance.
  • Care Planning: Develop child-focused plans that promote safety, wellbeing, and positive long-term outcomes.
  • Relationship Building: Establish effective working relationships with children, families, carers, and partner agencies.
  • Multi-Agency Working: Attend and contribute to child protection conferences, strategy meetings, reviews, and court proceedings.
  • Report Writing: Prepare clear, evidence-based assessments, reports, and court documentation.
  • Permanency Planning: Support children through transitions including fostering, adoption, reunification, and long-term care arrangements.
  • Partnership Working: Collaborate with education, health, police, and other professionals to deliver coordinated support.
