We are seeking a qualified Children Social Worker to join our Assessment and Intervention Team in Torquay, earning £42.00 per hour on an ongoing, full-time basis. What you will do:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of children's needs, taking into account their health, development, and family environment.
  • Manage a caseload of 20-24 cases, including complex Child in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP) cases, ensuring compliance with statutory duties.
  • Work collaboratively with children, families, and other professionals to safeguard children and promote their well-being.
  • Participate in the duty rota, covering duty one full week every three weeks, being responsive to crisis situations and Section 47 enquiries.
  • Provide high-quality reports and evidence for court proceedings when required.
  • Attend regular supervision sessions to discuss cases and professional development, benefiting from structured support within your team.
