We are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a Band 6/7 Adult Safeguarding Practitioner within our Adult Safeguarding team based in the picturesque setting of Guernsey. What you will do:
- Lead and manage Section 42 safeguarding enquiries, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions for adults in need.
- Undertake thorough risk assessments and develop safeguarding plans to ensure the safety and wellbeing of individuals.
- Provide specialist advice and guidance to staff and partner agencies on safeguarding matters.
- Collaborate effectively with multi-agency partners, including local authorities, police, and healthcare providers.
- Contribute to safeguarding strategy meetings, case conferences, and reviews.
Additional Band 7 Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical and practice leadership and supervision to staff, enhancing team effectiveness.
- Oversee complex and high-risk safeguarding cases, ensuring high standards of care and outcomes.
- Contribute to policy development, audit, and service improvement initiatives, driving excellence in safeguarding services.
Person Specification:
- Registered professional (e.g. Nurse, Social Worker, Allied Health Professional) with a degree-level qualification or equivalent.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Safeguarding Adults frameworks.
- Registration with a relevant professional body (e.g. Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC PIN) or Social Work England).
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
