What you will do:

  • Provide day-to-day management and operational oversight of the Children With Disability Team, ensuring high-quality service delivery and safeguarding practice.

  • Deliver effective interventions using a range of theoretical frameworks and practical approaches.

  • Manage caseload allocation to ensure the needs of children and young people are met effectively.

  • Support and guide staff in preparing high-quality court reports and navigating legal proceedings.

  • Assist team members in completing assessments and risk evaluations, ensuring best practice standards are maintained.

  • Chair and support core group meetings, maintaining a strong focus on child-centred practice.

  • Co-work complex cases and provide supervision and guidance to social workers and students.

  • Lead hub meetings and group supervision sessions, ensuring clear oversight of case progression.

  • Deliver high-quality reflective case supervision to support professional development and effective practice.

Person specification:

Essential:

  • Professional Social Work Degree or equivalent qualification.

  • Social Work England registration.

  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, frameworks, and procedures relating to children's services.

  • Experience managing social workers and delivering high-quality frontline services.
