What you will do

  • Case Management: Manage a varied caseload including Child in Need, Child Protection, Children Looked After, and assessment work.
  • Assessment: Complete Family Help and statutory assessments, producing high-quality analysis and recommendations.
  • Relationship Building: Develop effective and meaningful relationships with children and families to support positive outcomes.
  • Child-Centred Practice: Ensure children's voices, wishes, and experiences are central to all planning and interventions.
  • Multi-Agency Working: Collaborate with education, health, and other professionals to deliver coordinated support.
  • Safeguarding: Participate in safeguarding processes and child protection investigations where required.
  • Report Writing: Prepare detailed assessments, court reports, and case documentation to a high standard.
  • Duty Responsibilities: Contribute to the duty rota, screening and responding to referrals effectively.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Social Work Qualification: Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration: Current Social Work England registration.
  • Experience: Proven experience within statutory children's services.
  • Safeguarding Knowledge: Experience managing complex saf
