What you will do
- Statutory Social Work: Undertake statutory responsibilities within Child Protection, Children in Need, and the early stages of Children Looked After work.
- Safeguarding: Assess and respond to safeguarding concerns, ensuring children are protected from harm.
- Public Law Outline: Participate in Public Law Outline processes and contribute to care proceedings where required.
- Assessment and Planning: Complete comprehensive assessments and develop effective intervention and care plans.
- Family Engagement: Work collaboratively with children, young people, and families to achieve positive and aspirational outcomes.
- Decision Making: Utilise strong professional judgement and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions.
- Multi-Agency Working: Work closely with partner agencies to coordinate support and deliver integrated services.
- Community-Based Practice: Travel across the local authority area to undertake visits and fulfil statutory duties.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Social Work Qualification: Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised qualification.
