What you will do

  • Statutory Social Work: Undertake statutory responsibilities within Child Protection, Children in Need, and the early stages of Children Looked After work.
  • Safeguarding: Assess and respond to safeguarding concerns, ensuring children are protected from harm.
  • Public Law Outline: Participate in Public Law Outline processes and contribute to care proceedings where required.
  • Assessment and Planning: Complete comprehensive assessments and develop effective intervention and care plans.
  • Family Engagement: Work collaboratively with children, young people, and families to achieve positive and aspirational outcomes.
  • Decision Making: Utilise strong professional judgement and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions.
  • Multi-Agency Working: Work closely with partner agencies to coordinate support and deliver integrated services.
  • Community-Based Practice: Travel across the local authority area to undertake visits and fulfil statutory duties.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Social Work Qualification: Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised qualification.

Salary range

  • £41 per hour
