What you will do

  • Statutory Social Work: Undertake statutory responsibilities within Child Protection, Children in Need, and the early stages of Looked After Children services.
  • Safeguarding: Assess, identify, and respond to safeguarding concerns to ensure children are protected from harm.
  • Care Proceedings: Contribute to Public Law Outline processes and care proceedings where required.
  • Assessment and Planning: Complete comprehensive assessments and develop effective care and support plans.
  • Child-Centred Practice: Deliver strengths-based interventions tailored to the individual needs of children and families.
  • Multi-Agency Working: Collaborate with partner agencies to provide coordinated and effective support.
  • Outcome Focused Work: Promote positive and sustainable outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
  • Community-Based Practice: Travel across the local authority area to undertake visits and fulfil statutory duties.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Social Work Qualification: Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised qualification.
