Location: Exeter, UK (primarily remote with occasional travel to Devon)
Pay Rate: Up to £42 per hour (depending on experience)

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Advanced Social Worker to join a dedicated Corporate Parenting Team supporting young people placed outside of their home county. Based in Exeter, this role offers primarily remote working with occasional visits to Devon for supervision meetings (approximately once every six weeks).
In this role, you will build meaningful relationships with young people currently placed outside the county, supporting their transition and working to improve their outcomes. You will manage a small caseload of around 8-9 young people, working closely with the Team Manager and partner agencies to ensure effective planning and support.

What you will do

Manage and support a caseload of approximately 8-9 young people, maintaining regular contact at least twice every six weeks.

Work closely with partner agencies and stakeholders to facilitate the safe and timely return of young people to Devon.

Attend and contribute to meetings involving young people, carers, and partner organisations.

Maintain accurate case records and ensure all work aligns with relevant legislation, policies, and safeguarding standards.

Support service improvement and challenge practice where necessary to promote best outcomes for young people.
What you'll bring

Recognised social work qualification with current registration with Social Work England.

Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience, including advanced-level practice.

Strong experience of multi-agency working and involvement in court processes.
