What you will do

• Undertake safeguarding enquiries in accordance with Section 42 of the Care Act 2014, ensuring timely and proportionate responses to concerns of abuse or neglect.
• Complete strengths-based assessments, risk assessments, and safeguarding plans for adults with care and support needs.
• Manage a complex caseload, maintaining accurate case records, reports, and documentation in line with statutory requirements and council procedures.
• Work collaboratively with health partners, police, housing providers, care agencies, and voluntary sector organisations to coordinate safeguarding interventions.

Person Specification

Qualifications:

• Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, or an equivalent recognised social work qualification along with evidence of continuing professional development relevant to adult safeguarding practice.

Registration & Compliance:

• Registered with Social Work England.

Experience:

• Experience working within a statutory Adult Social Care setting and undertaking safeguarding enquiries involving adults with complex needs.
