About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Adults Social Worker to join the Safeguarding Team in Trafford. This ongoing locum role offers flexibility to work part time or full time, with a competitive hourly rate of £30.00.

Working within the Safeguarding Hub, you will contribute to delivering proportionate, person-centred safeguarding responses in line with current legislation and statutory guidance. You will play a key role in screening referrals, coordinating safeguarding responses, and supporting best practice across the service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Screen and evaluate incoming safeguarding referrals, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.

  • Coordinate and contribute to provider-led safeguarding enquiries and organisational safeguarding concerns.

  • Develop and implement proportionate safeguarding plans focused on positive outcomes for adults at risk.

  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to deliver high-quality, integrated services.

  • Apply relevant legal frameworks including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Human Rights Act 1998 in practice.

  • Provide professional guidance and support to colleagues, contributing to continuous service improvement.

  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive case records in line with statutory requirements and local policy.

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.

  • Previous experience in adult social care and safeguarding.

  • Strong working knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory guidance.
