Join our team as a Locum Adults Social Worker, working within the Neighbourhood Team in Ashton-under-Lyne. This exciting and ongoing opportunity offers a competitive hourly rate of up to £35. As a seasoned professional, you will work full-time, offering your expertise to this vibrant community. Starting on the 6th of July 2026, this contract will initially conclude on the 28th of August 2026.

What you will do:

  • Conduct detailed Care Act Assessments and Reviews.
  • Engage in Court Work, including S21a Challenges.
  • Provide critical Duty Support.
  • Implement robust safeguarding practices.
  • Manage complex cases with a focus on client-centred outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Adults Social Worker: Must hold a recognised Social Work qualification.
  • Statutory Experience: A wealth of experience in statutory Adult Social Care is essential.
  • Care Act Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Care Act and safeguarding practices.
  • Case Management Skills: Proven ability to manage complex cases and court-related work.
  • Professional References: Three professional references are required.
  • Recruitment Checks: Employment gaps will be assessed as part of the recruitment process.
