What you will do

  • AMHP Duties: Undertake Mental Health Act assessments, fulfilling statutory AMHP responsibilities.
  • Assessment Leadership: Coordinate and lead assessment processes with medical professionals and partner agencies.
  • Crisis Assessment: Assess needs, risks, and strengths during mental health crises.
  • Care Act Practice: Complete Care Act assessments, safeguarding enquiries, and risk assessments as appropriate.
  • Care Planning: Develop person‑centred care and support plans promoting independence and recovery.
  • MDT Working: Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, and community teams.
  • Duty & OOH Work: Participate in duty systems, emergency responses, and out‑of‑hours work where required.
  • Governance & Reporting: Maintain accurate, timely case records and attend tribunals, managers' hearings, CPA and safeguarding meetings.
  • Professional Standards: Ensure compliance with legislation, policy, and professional requirements, promoting anti‑discriminatory, trauma‑informed practice.
